My buddies Pete and Andy and their bands will be playing a gig in aid of the COI centre’s mission team to Brazil this summer. It’s being held in the Oasis Café on Elmwood Avenue, Belfast (behind where I used to live) on Monday 21st April at 9 PM (After CU).

The music’ll be a mix of acoustic styling and profiling (from Nathan Jess), rock covers and original songs by Pete and Paul (formerly of Midnight Noise Conspiracy) and headlining is Andy Good’s band “Maguire and I” who have recently cut a demo which will be handed out free to the first [arbitrary number of] people through the door. Sony Ericsson Phone Mac Crash Bug

it appears there is indeed a way to stop my k800i crashing whenever I unplug it’s usb lead from my macbook pro. This little driver package disables the unused ports in the usb interface (with the sony ericsson devices). Next time I reboot I’ll confirm if it works or not, but this is good – hopefully I can recharge my phone and not risk a black curtain of doom each time!

So it appears it isn’t working (at all) but I’ll look into it again soon. Hope it might work for you.

Snowbound and Iciness.

So we’re snowbound, which is pretty cool. There hasn’t been this much snow in at least 10 years for Dromore (that I know of) and there’ve only really been two snowfalls in that time.

So much for making it to the Odyssey for dinner with the Albany folks I got to Scott’s house realised hte snow was definitely beyond reasonable driving conditions and ditched the car in their driveway. Much snowballing and Chinesefoodeating later I made the land speed record (not) from Princes Street back down to the house and managed to get mammy’s wee carsafe back in the garage.
