Thanks so much for this post!! I’m new to Wordpress and first installed it on 10.6 with no problems to test, and then wanted to port it to my iBook (which can’t run 10.5 of course). Was getting the database error, but thanks to you it’s all taken care of!

As a recent pseudo-switcher (I still use my PC) I use the ALT/OPTION-COMMAND-T triple key sequence to bring up the Character Palette. Pretty neat.

First, THANKS David! For others: Note that “Character Palette” might not initially appear in the flag’s menu. You have to turn it on! Click on “Open International…” and check the box for “Character Palette.” (“Keyboard Viewer” could be kind of helpful too.)

A) Thanks for the reminder, this was a huge help. The comment about script/destroy is very helpful too.

B) If you want more comments, I would suggest changing your settings to make it easier for people to leave a post rather than creating an account. If you want to monitor that fine, that works, but WP has a pretty good system for getting rid of spam.
